Funeral service for Lanice Wood, age 96, of Columbiana, was held Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Burial followed at Columbiana City Cemetery.
Visitation was one hour prior to the service at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wood, who passed away Monday, Dec. 8, 2008 at her home, was born on May 15, 1912 in Maylene.
She worked for 22 years as a civil service employee at the Draft Board.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Max A. Wood, who passed away in 1964.
She is survived by her children, Lyn W. (Charlie) Loyd, Max A. (Peggy) Wood; grandchildren, Karen (Jim) Williams, Brandon Wood, Mary (Paul) Schabaker, Heather Holmes, Jennifer Holmes, Brittany Wood; great granddaughters, Mary Beth, Gracie, Katie Schabaker, Madison Williams and a host of other family and friends.
