Funeral service for Minnie Mae Howard, age 97, of Columbiana, was held Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel.
Burial followed at Summer Hill Cemetery.
Visitation was Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, from 6–8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.
Mrs. Howard, who passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at her home, was born on April 12, 1911, in Shelby County.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Howard; two sons, Lewis Howard, Billy Joe Howard; daughter, Joyce Howard; and a granddaughter, Kim Hughes.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (James) Vanderslice; son, Johnny (Sara) Howard; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; nephew, Howard Carter of Nashville, Tenn. and a host of other family and friends.
She will be dearly missed. Everyone loved her very much.
