Magnolia Creek Residential Treatment Center for Eating Disorders, located in Chelsea, and the Eating Disorder Center of Alabama are sponsoring the Birmingham premiere of “America the Beautiful,” on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. at Samford University.

The documentary explores the question, “Does America have an unhealthy obsession with beauty?” Filmmaker Darryl Roberts spent two years to uncover the harsh realities of our nation’s quest for physical perfection.

The screening will be followed by a special question-and-answer discussion session with the filmmaker and other guests.
