Walter Edward Terch Jr., of Columbiana, died Saturday Jan. 3, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward W. Terch Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Terch; mother, Ann G. Terch; sister, Linda Jones (Tom); brother, Jeff Terch (Susan) and five nieces and nephews.
He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Columbiana Kiwanas Club serving as Secretary for two years, Vice President for one and one half years and Fair Manager for four years.
He was a member of Shelby County Cattleman’s Association and served on the Parks and Recreation board. As a member of the Association of Alabama Fairs he served as 1st Vice President for one year and Secretary for two years.
Burial will be at Valhalla Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
