Ann Roper Johnson, age 80, of Calera, passed away Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center. She was born in Alabama on May 3, 1928, the daughter to Mr. Albert Monroe Roper and Mrs. Maude Octavia Cardwell Roper. Visitation was held Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, from 5-7 p.m. at Charter Funeral Home. Minister was Terry Hill. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and sister.
Survivors include her husband, James E. “Ed” Johnson; daughters, Mary Ann Aycock (Robert) of Calera and Lynne Fayet of Helena; sister, Wynell Cochran (Donald) of Graysville; grandson, Justin Fayet of Helena; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations may be made to your favorite charity.
