Bettie Jean Brandon Hester

Funeral service for Bettie Hester, age 74, of Columbiana, will be Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel with the Rev. Howard Brasher officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Columbiana City Cemetery.
Mrs. Hester, who passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at her home, was born July 25, 1934, in Sherman, Miss. She retired from AT&T after 27 years of service and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
She was a beloved Mother and Grandmother and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Hester was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin F. Hester and a son, Edward R. Hester.
She is survived by her brother, Morris Brandon; children, Jenny Northcutt, Michael Hester, Susan Heap, Nanci Hester; 6 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
