More than 60 children and adults celebrated the birthday of Winnie-the-Pooh creator A. A. Milne at a “Pooh Day Party” given by the Albert L. Scott Public Library in Alabaster.

Milne was born on Jan. 18, 1882.

Children, some dressed in Pooh inspired outfits, brought their Pooh, Tigger and other stuffed toys to the event. They even sang the “Winnie-the-Pooh” song, “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” and other songs along with storyteller Carol Patton who was dressed as Pooh for the day. They also sang “Happy Birthday,” decorated Pooh coloring sheets, won door prizes and ate cookies.
