Funeral service for Nancy Jane Lightsey, age 54, of Centreville, was held Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at 2 p.m. Centreville Baptist Church. The Rev. Ken Fuller officiated. Burial followed at Pineland Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, from 5-8 p.m. at Centreville Baptist Church.
Lightsey, who passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at UAB Medical Center, was Bibb County Chamber of Commerce Director, a member of the Brent Study Club, Church Clerk at Centreville Baptist and active in the Bibb County Relay for Life. She was retired from the Alabama Dept. of Human Resources (Bibb County).
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Mary Barrett.
She is survived by her husband, Pete Lightsey of Centreville; sons, Trey Lightsey (Alex) of Alabaster and Britton Lightsey (Stacie) of Calera; daughter, Kelsey Dunn (Will) of Centreville; sister, Bobbye Pruet of Albany, Ga. and grandchildren, Jack and John Hallman Lightsey and Madison and Evan Dunn.
Pallbearers: Oliver Moore, Tom Bamberg, Willie Dunn, Buddy Wallace, Myron Wiley and Syd Coleman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to be made to Centreville Baptist Church General Fund, 138 Court Square East, Centreville, Ala. 35042.
