On Jan. 4, Mrs. Anna (Johnson) Frost was honored with a 100th birthday celebration, hosted by Mr. and Mrs. John Ellison at their home in Montevallo.

More than 100 family and friends enjoyed sharing fond memories with Mrs. Frost. Frost, a lifelong resident of Montevallo, was born Jan. 1, 1909, to Henry L. Johnson and his wife, Johnnie H. Johnson.

She married Nathan Thomas Frost on Oct. 17, 1936, and enjoyed a loving 36-year marriage until his death in 1971.

Being a devoted charter member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Montevallo, she has enriched many lives by teaching and guidance with preschool and young adult Sunday School classes.

In 1978, Mrs. Frost gifted the church with a memorial steeple in honor of her husband, Nathan. Frost was also an active member of the Shelby County Home Demonstration Club, as well as the Calera Senior Citizens organization.

Frost was surrounded during the celebration by her loving nieces, Betty Cupp and Billie Spain, devoted nephew Jimmy Spain, four great-nieces, Diane (Wayne) Smith, Robin (John) Williams, Cheryl (Roger) Burnette, Susan Moore, great-nephew, David (Debbie) Cupp, and great-great nieces, Hayley (Jason) Carter, Heather (Michael) Jones, Alison Cupp, and great-great nephews, Mark (Tammy) Smith, Alton (Kassie) Smith, Alan (Elisha Martin) Williams, Brad (LeeAnn) Williams, and Chace Burnette.

She has two great-great-great nieces, Kendall Diane Smith, and Madison Boyd Williams, and two great-great-great nephews, Trey Williams, and William Tullus Smith. Many of the guests were also former students.
