Indian Springs senior forward and captain Betsy Stewart has committed to play women’s soccer at the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C.

Stewart has been recruited by College of Charleston as a defender and forward. She was a two-time All-Metro Second Team selection and received second Team All-State honors in 2008. She was the team Defensive

MVP in 2007 and Offensive MVP in 2008 after posting 42 goals on the season to lead the Metro Area. She was also selected to the 2008 Alabama All-Star Game where she garnered MVP Honors.

Stewart is the daughter of Janet and William Stewart of Birmingham.
