Unless you want to be late to church, don’t forget to spring forward one hour Saturday night for daylight saving time.

Daylight saving time officially starts at 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 8.

Some little-known facts about daylight saving time:

-From 1987 to 2006, DST started the first Saturday in April and ended on the last Sunday of October.

-The Energy Policy Act of 2005 changed the dates. DST now starts on the second Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November.

-Arizona and Hawaii don’t observe DST and use standard time throughout the year.
