The Indian Springs Village Town Council recently awarded $4,000 grants to each of the four Oak Mountain schools.

Mayor Steve Zerkis said the Oak Mountain elementary, intermediate, middle and high schools will use the grant money to purchase education technology tools such as Promethean boards, Interwite pads and multimedia projectors.

The town provides the grants to the schools annually as a means to support the educational needs of area students, Zerkis said.

“We want to do our part for education,” Zerkis said. “We’re very proud of our Oak Mountain schools, and we hope the schools maintain their standard of excellence.”
