Funeral service for Clydean Manes Roper, 74, of Sylacauga was Thursday, March 5, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel. Burial followed at Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The Rev. William Rayfield officiated. Visitation was Wednesday, March 4, 2009, from 7-9 p.m. at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel.
Roper, who passed away March 2, 2009, is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Roper of Sylacauga; son, John A. Jackson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; step-daughter, Ruth Ann Roper of Federal Way, Wash.; granddaughter, Alexis Ferriby of Federal Way, Wash.; sister, Becky Moore of Harpersville; and brothers, Ronald Manes of Sylacauga and Allyn Manes of Douglasville, Ga.
Pallbearers were nephews, Roderick Roper, Eddie Ray Roper, Loy Lander Manes II, Fred Gaston Manes, Jerry Moore Jr. and Steven Moore.
