A man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a woman at a Pelham mobile home.

Juan Rodriguez, 34, is now in the custody of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, said Pelham Police Lt. Scott Tucker. Early Wednesday morning, officers discovered the body of Wendy Louise Starnes, 33, of Montevallo after responding to a domestic dispute call at 126 A Oliver Street. Rodriguez was found injured at the scene and was later hospitalized. Starnes had been staying with Rodriguez at the mobile home.

Further details of the investigation, including Starnes’ cause of death, have not been released.
