Funeral service for Sidney Bruce Lucas, 73, of Maylene was held Thursday, March 19, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel in Montevallo. The Rev. Bill Trawick officiated. Burial followed at Rock Springs Cemetery in Calera.
Visitation was Wednesday, March 18, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Lucas, who passed away March 16, 2009, at home, is survived by his wife, Dora Lee Lucas of Maylene; daughters, Tammy Lynn (Gary) Bice of Maylene and Angela Rena (Janson Steve) Tate of Calera; sons, Jeffrey B. Lucas of Maylene, Denny L. Lucas of Maylene, Donald Wayne (Kim) Lucas of Brantleyville, Stacey Russell (Jennifer) Lucas of Montevallo and Daniel (Kayla) Lucas of Montevallo; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was laid to rest beside his daughter, Scarlette.
