Country artist Terri Clark has been named as the headline act for the 2009 CityFest June 6 at Municipal Park in Alabaster.

Among her accolades, Clark was named as Billboard’s Top Female Country Artist in 1995, while also being nominated for four Country Music Association awards through the year. Clark, a native Canadian, has won dozens of Canadian Country Music Association awards throughout the years, including eight Entertainer of the Year awards.

Clark’s hits include “I Just Wanna Be Mad,” “Girls Lie Too,” “Life Goes On,” “Now That I Found You,” and “Poor, Poor Pitiful Me.”

Act of Congress will also perform at this year’s CityFest, as will local musician Kevin Derryberry.

Ryan Kinder, Pure Accident and Sanchez Tanniehill round out this year’s line-up.

CityFest, Shelby County’ largest outdoor festival, drew an estimated 36,000 people to last year’s event, which was headlined by country artist Tracy Lawrence and alternative band Sister Hazel.

There will also be inflatables for the kids, arts, crafts and vendors available during the all-day event.
