Steady rain put the United States Tennis Association Women’s $25K Pro Circuit Challenger singles championship on hold Sunday at the Pelham Racquet Club. After hourly delays, the decision was made around 4:45 p.m. by PRC officials to postpone the tournament’s singles final until 10 a.m. Monday. The final was originally set for noon Sunday.

Last year’s runner-up, Rosana de Los Rios of Paraguay, will face Jorgelina Cravero of Argentina in the championship match.

Former No. 1 player in the world, Tracy Austin was scheduled to host two tennis clinics Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., but the rain and court conditions canceled both events. Instead, Austin hung out in the PRC Clubhouse to visit with those in attendance, sign autographs and take photos.
