John Webster Martin of Vincent died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at his home. He was 73.
Funeral services were Monday, April 6 at the Revival Center in Vincent at 11 a.m. Burial followed at Vincent City Cemetery.
Visitation was Sunday at the Revival Center from 6-9 p.m. The Rev. Jason Allums and the Rev. Mike Andrews officiated.
Pallbearers were Joe Elliott, Marty Elliott, Dale Partridge, Jeff Partridge, Perry Partridge and Terry Whitfield.
Honorary pallbearers were Chris Partridge, Randall Whitfield, Joe Gann, Adam Williams, Randy Willis and Brent Elliott.
Martin is survived by wife, Marie Martin; sons, Shane (Traci) Martin, Shawn (Amy) Martin and Mike Martin; daughters, Sonya (Jeremy) Andrews and Rhonda Martin; brother, Buster (Lyndol) Martin; and 12 grandchildren, Morgan, Justin, Zayne, Lucas, Keith, Zack, Griffin, Katie, Jeremy Jr., Martin Gage, Zach and Gracie.
Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Flym and Myrtle Martin; his brothers and sisters; two sons, Terry and Jonathan Martin.
The family would like to thank Holistic Health Care for all the love, care and help.
Special thanks to Nichole Fant, Laura, Michele and Chaplin Kenneth Robinson, to Dr. Ivor Percent, Ms. Pat and Bob at the Birmingham VA Hospital and to the Vincent Revival Center for all the thoughts, prayers, food and support through this time of need.
