Shelby County could see severe thunderstorms later this afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Meterologist Tara Golden said there is a small possibility of tornadoes as the afternoon goes on. However, most of the weather activity should be out of the Shelby County area by sunrise Tuesday.
