Justin M. Bond of Thompson High School and Shay N. Johnson of Spain Park are two of 16 students in the state selected as National Achievement Scholars. Both of these students will receive $2,500 scholarships to the school of their choice.

The National Achievement program recognizes black Americans who demonstrate high academic performance and earn top SAT scores.
