His parents, Robert and Vera Miller Loveless, preceded him in death.

Born March 12, 1939, in Cordova, later moved to Birmingham and attended Phillips High School. He joined the Marine Corp in 1957. He then attended University of Alabama in Birmingham.
Against all odds, he had many accomplishments in his life that he passed on to his family. From 1959-1962 he was an assistant manager at The Cannabury Shop in Mt. Brook. He then supported his family traveling as a manufactures rep for a ladies clothing publication. After his tenure as a manufactures rep, he went into pre-need sales and worked at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. After his work there, he purchased three cemeteries in 1980 and built Shelby Memory Funeral Home in 1984. He employed his daughter Lauriann, who went on to attain her degree in Mortuary Science and her National Funeral Director Embalmers License.
Nineteen years ago, after his heart attack he took up computers for a hobby, involving his son Bob, Jr. He gave Bob Jr. his first broken down computer that no one could repair. Bob, Jr. took it apart and made it faster and better. Bob Jr. then went on to further his education in the computer field and made it a career.
Bob was an avid collector of antique trains, which later led him to Elsies’ Love of Antiques. The two had several antique shops including “Loveless Antiques” in Chelsea. He and Elsie made many trips over seas to purchase antiques before retiring. His largest accomplishment was the vast collection of people he seemed to draw from all walks of life.
Bob gave his life to God in 1978 and served the Lord timelessly through ministries. These ministries included serving on the board of the Salvation Army along with Street Ministries and Nursing Home Ministries.
Bob said that “Easter would be a great day to meet God” – he did.
The Loveless family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for all their kindness and care.
At Bob’s request arrangements were under the direction of Charter Funeral Home.
