Clark Hultquist, associate professor of history, and students Jamie Rawls of Calera and Christina Tidmore of Birmingham attended Barnard College’s regional faculty conference for “Reacting to the Past,” held recently at UAB.

The trio participated in the simulation Rousseau, Burke and the Revolution in France, 1791. Hultquist did not “survive,” as the Parisian crowd purged him from the National Assembly. Rawls and Tidmore lasted through the revolution.
