Funeral service for Cathy Lynn Simmons, age 45, of Montevallo, will be Saturday, April 25, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel in Montevallo. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Maylene. The Rev. George Goldman and the Rev. Ricky Smith to officiate. Visitation will be Friday, April 24, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel.
Simmons, who passed away April 22, 2009, at her home, is preceded in death by her father, Bobby Joe Simmons Sr. and her sister Kelly Lane Simmons.
She is survived by her partner of over 9 years, Philip Dale Cochran; sons, James Bradley “Brad” Simmons (Crystal) and Anthony Dane “Tony” Simmons (Christina); mother, Catherine Wilson Simmons; sister, Jamie Dunlap; brothers, Joe Simmons (Marsha) and Josh Simmons (Tina); grandchildren, Austin and Nicole Smith and A.J. Simmons.
Her nephews will be serving as pallbearers.
