Blanche Tidmore

Blanche Delline Tidmore, age 57, of Hoover, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009. She was a faithful volunteer at Riverchase United Methodist Church, and in earlier years, she especially enjoyed helping in Children’s Church, nursery, and food bank ministries at K-Springs Church of God in Chelsea.
Blanche was formerly employed in sales and marketing with Sheraton Perimeter Park Hotel. She was also a multi-award-winning consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics.
Blanche was preceded in death by her mother, Ina Mae Whited Colvert Smith; maternal grandmother, Inez Whited; great-aunt, Robbie Hall; an uncle, James Nelson; and a cousin, Diane Foster.
Survivors include Blanche’s husband of 20 years, David Tidmore; children, Melanie Edge and Charlotte Delline (Mark) Williams; grandchildren, Steven Tyler Bustamento, Michael George Malacos, Marc Gordon Malacos, Alexander George Edge, and Madison Reign Williams; brother, Roy (Willene Crosby) Colvert Jr.; and sisters, Coline (Weitzel) Moore, Cindy (Eric) Bailey, and Debbie (Phillip) Moore. Blanche’s nieces and nephews were very special to her heart.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2009, in the funeral home’s chapel with the Rev. Richard S. Wright officiating. A graveside service will follow in K-Springs Cemetery, Chelsea.
Pallbearers will be Roy Colvert Jr., Matthew Lucas, Mark Williams, Lee Hunt, Bobby Foster, Steven Bustamento, and Gene Johnson.
