Graveside service for Oakley Vincent, age 72, of Columbiana, was at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Wilsonville City Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on May 2, 2009 at Bolton Funeral Home.
Mr. Vincent, who passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009, was born on September 16, 1936 in Birmingham. Mr. Vincent was a retired United States Air Force Lt/Col.
He was a professional engineer and a member of the IEEE and former member of ASHRAE. He was owner of AITB Inc. for 20 years.
He was also a former scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 560 and Explorer Post 560.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oakley Seay and Thelma Barnett Vincent; brother Roger Vincent and granddaughter Jessica Hollis.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Olive Faye Moore Vincent; sons, Oakley Kevin Vincent (Patricia), Col. Roger Moore Vincent (Patti) of Arlington, Va.; daughters, Vicki V. Horton (Franklin), Amanda V. Randolph (Walter) of Columbiana, Rebecca V. Hollis (Kirk) of Los Alamos, N.M.; grandsons, Alan Horton of Columbiana, Aaron Vincent of the Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo.; granddaughters, Crystal H. Russell (Christopher) of Wilsonville, Shelby and Robyn Hollis of Los Alamos, N.M.; great-grandchildren, Nathan Horton of Columbiana, and Caleb and Cadence Russell of Wilsonville; sister, Virginia McFall of New Hampshire; nieces, Mamye Contino of Horseshoe, N.C. and Rachel Vincent of Clanton, and a host of family and friends.
