Chelsea Middle School was recently presented with the All-Sports Champion award for the Shelby County Middle School League.

The award comes after CHMS won the regular season in girls’ basketball and boys’ basketball and finished runner-up in baseball and softball.

“I am very proud of the athletes and coaches whose dedication and hard work paid off to earn this prestigious honor,” CHMS athletic director Brian Chambers said.

Girls’ basketball and softball also won the county tournament, while boys’ basketball and baseball were both second in the county tournament.

The Shelby County Middle School League consists of Montevallo Middle, Riverchase Middle, Helena Middle, Columbiana Middle, Chelsea Middle and Calera Middle.
