Eight Shelby County athletes were recently named to the AISA baseball and softball teams.

Coosa Valley junior centerfielder Justin Floyd will play on the East All-Star team in the juniors game, while teammates Justin Chain and Whit Lovelady will play for the seniors East All-Stars. CVA head coach Steven Mackin will serve as one of the East coaches for the juniors.

In softball, Cornerstone Christian School had four All-Stars, as Nichole Davis and Chelsey Dunnaway are on the juniors East All-Star Team, while Hope Anderson and Brooke Calma were selected as senior East All-Stars. CCS assistant coach Joey Miller will serve as one of the coaches for the junior East All-Stars.

Kingwood’s Lauren Rozel was named to the junior West All-Star Team.
