If you are looking for a good beach book, you can’t go wrong with the latest offering by Nora Roberts.

“Vision in White” is the first book in the Bride Quartet.

Four childhood friends grow up to form VOWS — a full service Wedding Planning business. In “Vision in White,” we meet Mackensie “Mac” Elliot, the bridal photographer for the business.

Mac is at home behind the camera with plenty of magazine covers to her credit. Her life is thrown for a loop when she bumps into Carter Maguire — the bride-to-be’s brother. She faces further turmoil with a needy mother who refuses to grow up and accept responsibility.

Because of her childhood, having to deal with her mother’s inability to commit long term, Mac struggles with committing to a relationship with Carter. She also has to be the adult in the relationship with her mother.

Mac’s support system is her three friends and business partners: Parker, Emmaline, Laurel and Parker’s brother Delaney. All four friends live and work at the estate VOWs is located on. Take a journey with Mac through weddings, photography, life-changing decisions and love.

I enjoyed Mac’s story. She struggled with her past, tackled her present and eventually looked forward to a bright future. I hope you enjoy Mac’s story as much as I did. I am now anxiously anticipating Parker, Emmaline and Laurel’s stories.
