Funeral service for Amanda Vick, age 49, of Wilsonville, was held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2009, at Antioch Baptist Church with Don Wright officiating. Burial followed at Wilsonville City Cemetery. Visitation was held Sunday, May 31, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vick, who passed away Friday, May 29, 2009, at a local hospital, was born Dec. 15, 1959 in Birmingham. After receiving her bachelor’s degree she worked in the nursing field for thirty years. She was also Troop Leader for Girl Scout Troop #169.
She was preceded in death by her father, David R. Stewart; and two brothers, Robert and Andy Stewart.
She is survived by her husband, Lamar Vick; daughter, Candace Vick; son, Aaron Vick; her mother, Billie H. Stewart; a sister, Judy Witt; a brother, Jerry Stewart; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Scleroderma Foundation.
