William Nelson, a student at Oak Mountain Middle School in North Shelby County, will participate in the U.S. Naval Academy’s Summer STEM Program June 8-13.

The Naval Academy’s Summer STEM Program is an overnight academic camp designed for rising seventh– through ninth–grade students who have an interest in math and science.

Nelson is the son of John and Jean Nelson of Brook Highland.
