Google “Nigel Terrell” and you’ll find a recruiting profile for the Pelham senior on almost every college football recruiting service available. The three-star outside linebacker is becoming popular in the Southeast recruiting market, and his stock rose even more Tuesday when his name appeared on the ESPN 150 Watch List.

“It’s good to know that I’m ranked in the Top 150 in the nation. It’s been a lot of hard work,” Terrell said. “I like to always thank the people that helped me get that far. It’s been tough going to these camps, but I feel like it’ll pay off.”

The preseason honor comes less than a week after Terrell participated in the University of Tennessee Big Man Camp and was ranked a Hot 11 pick from the camp by Rivals.com. UT is one the schools that appears interested in Terrell, but has not formally extended an offer.

Terrell has 11 offers to date, including Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky and Ole Miss in the Southeastern Conference. Others are Florida State, Colorado, West Virginia, UAB, Troy, Southern Miss and Western Kentucky.

Terrell said he does not plan to commit to an offer until late summer or early into his senior season.

He said he feels like he has gained the national attention because he is becoming comfortable in his position after rotating on offense his freshman and sophomore years.

“My junior year, I felt like I progressed, because I just put it in my head that this is the position that I’m going to play, so why not do it the best of my ability,” Terrell said.

Terrell joins Oak Mountain tight end Davis Dudchock, who was previously listed on the ESPN 150 Watch List.

Dudchock has seven offers hanging in the air – Auburn, Florida State, Southern Mississippi, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Troy and UAB. ESPN’s evaluation calls him a “nice sleeper among the 2010 tight ends.” Standing at 6-foot-4, 218 pounds, Dudchock is both a blocking tight end and a receiver.
