Funeral service for Brenda Compton Ellison, age 65, of Calera, was held Saturday, June 20, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Rockco Funeral Home in Montevallo. The Rev. James Blair and the Rev. Bill Trawick officiated. Burial followed in Enon Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday, June 19, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ellison, who passed away June 17, 2009, in Alabaster, was in the banking industry in Montevallo for over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband, Chester Ellison; sons, Greg Killingsworth, Tracy Killingsworth and David Ellison; sisters, Peggy Lagrone, Edna Stephens, Myra EmFinger, Glenda Cook and Sandra Duke; brothers, Earl Compton and Algie Compton, Jr.; grandchildren, Christina Killingsworth, Corey and Gregory Killingsworth, Blake Killingsworth, Justin Cole Killingsworth, Laci Rowe and Kendall and Natalie Ellison.
