Several Shelby County youth softball teams will compete this week in the National Softball Association Alabama State Tournaments.

Alabaster, Calera, Chelsea, Columbiana, Helena and Oak Mountain will all carry teams to the tournaments.

In the 6-under age division at Millbrook, Calera, Chelsea and Helena will compete, while Chelsea, Helena and Oak Mountain will compete in the 8-under division. In the 10-under age division, Alabaster, Calera and Oak Mountain will play for a state title, while Chelsea, Columbiana and Oak Mountain will compete in the 12-under division.
