Jean Dawson, born in December 18, 1940, of Alabaster, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2009.
Visitation was held at Charter Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 8 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the services will be Reverend Mike Byars. Burial will be in Helena City Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Harwell, mother, Nell Smith, stepfather, Raymond Smith, first husband, Edward Willis and second husband, Willard Dawson.
Survivors include her son, Tim Willis, daughters, Tracey Hinds (Brian) and Dawn Willis; brothers, Charles Smith (Julie) and Randy Harwell (Jeannie); granddaughters, Rachael and Rebecca Hinds and Kelsey Smith; grandson, Garrett Hinds; nephew, Aaron Harwell (Ginger); niece, Paige Shellnutt (Shay) and best friends, Brenda Dover, Voncille and Jeannie Jones, Clytie Ruthford and others.
Arrangements were under the direction of Charter Funeral Home.
