James “Jamey” Thompson celebrated his 13th birthday on May 16. He had a party at StrikeFore, Patera’s Pizza and the Carmike 10 theatre with is friends Joey and David and cousin, Dillon.

He is a student of Valleydale Christian Academy.

He has won awards for playing baseball and flag football for 2 years at the YMCA.

He is active at his church, the Pelham Church of God. He was also a wonderful assistant caretaker of his 87-year-old great-grandfather.

His parents are Pal and Donna (Hill) Thompson of Pelham. His grandparents are John and Frances (Brasher Hill) Owens of Pelham; the late Johnie and Vera Thompson of Clanton; and the late James Bobby Hill of Pelham.

His great-grandparents are the late J. L. and Leona Brasher of Pelham.
