Crosscreek Television Productions of Alabaster will unveil its second high definition television production mobile unit Aug. 8 prior to the Birmingham Barons baseball game at Regions Park in Hoover.

The unit, named Voyager 9, was built primarily to supply mobile facilities for the recently acquired Southeastern Conference events on ESPN networks and its syndication partners.

Voyager 9 will be used on the syndicated Saturday noon SEC football package, which will air locally on CW21, WTTO and other stations where the games have been cleared.

Voyager 9 will join its sister unit, Voyager 8, to support the popular TNA professional wrestling for HD shows on the Spike network and the AMA Superbike Series on the Speed network. The unit can host 18 high definition cameras.

“We’re very excited to launch our new high def mobile unit and to be part of some of the premiere sporting events across the country,” said Spruce McRee, president and CEO of Crosscreek.
