Noele Anglin said she’s working for the best CEO a company can ask for — God.

Anglin and her two business partners, Mimi Avery and Benee DeGreen, created Majestees, a business that offers clothing and scripture combined.

Crosses, angels and peace signs adorn T-shirts, capris and scrubs. Charms of pearls and crosses hang on handmade jewelry. Majestees even offers messenger bags with religious imagery.

The women developed the idea for their business after a trip to the Christmas Village at the BJCC four years ago. There they saw numerous options for children’s devotional clothes, but none for adults.

This realization of the need for adult devotional clothing sparked their business.

The women attend Christ the King Lutheran Church. Avery said worshipping at the same church has given the women some of the same ideas about witnessing.

“It’s like friendship with a purpose,” Avery said. “It’s amazing to watch not only the growth in ourselves, but also within each other.”

All three women share the business responsibilities.

“We’ve been blessed to be able to work so well together,” DeGreen said.

The home-based business offers clothing online and at several stores. You can purchase their items at Our Daily Bread in Alabaster. They also have a Majestees booth setup at the Christmas Village and Southern Women’s Show each year.

DeGreen said she appreciates the way she can share the word at shows.

“My favorite part is giving me a chance to share my faith with people in a different setting,” DeGreen said.

Avery said participating in the shows gives her a good opportunity to talk to her children about faith.

“There are many teachable moments,” Avery said.

DeGreen said they will soon begin selling their items wholesale to boutiques. All of the partners create the art for the T-shirts and make the jewelry.

“It’s gratifying to see someone wearing what we’ve designed in public,” Anglin said.
