Glenda Bradley now deals with Uncle Sam in the building where, until a little over two years ago, she had attended church since she was a child.

Bradley bought the building at the intersection of CR 39 and 47 in January 2007, after Chelsea Church of God decided to construct a new church building. Last month she moved her business, Bestway Tax and Business Center, from U.S. 280 to the new location.

“I was located on 280 as my first independent location for 15–plus, very happy and successful years, meeting and serving the needs of many wonderful people in our own Chelsea and many surrounding towns and counties,” Bradley said. “Many who have since moved to other states still depend on my staff to fulfill their tax needs.”

She has always been blessed to have a very well trained and qualified team of associates, she said. She said they all believe, as she does, in her motto: “Bestway the Rightway.”

They still have the same great service, just a new location, said Bradley. They do individual and small business tax returns, which include all electronic filing options as offered by the IRS in all states, as well as state returns for all states. They also handle bookkeeping services.

Bradley received her education at Chelsea High School, Jefferson State Community College and Auburn and Alabama extension services. She also served a two–year apprenticeship with a Birmingham CPA/IRS auditor. She attends continuing education programs annually.

Bradley said her daughter Kym Bradley still operates the Chelsea Center in part of the building where her business is now located. But, with three wings to the building, there’s plenty of room for all the services and activities of the community center and for Bestway Tax and Business Center offices.

“We are very excited about our new opportunities as a downtown Chelsea business,” Bradley said.
