On June 5, Hoover resident Jeff Hager won the “Create Dunkin’s Next Donut” contest with his “Toffee for Your Coffee” donut, a sour cream cake donut topped with glaze and chopped chocolate toffee bars.

Today, that donut goes on sale at Dunkin’ Donuts shops all over the country through Oct. 6.

“I am thrilled to be able to share my personal creation with donut lovers across the country,” Hager said. “My family and I will look back on this experience knowing that the ‘Toffee for Your Coffee’ donut is a part of Dunkin’ Donuts history, and that is something special.”
