Funeral service for Joy Marie Hill, 81, of Chelsea, will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at Liberty Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Hill, who passed away Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at her home, was born May 2, 1928 in Blount County.
She is a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She retired from Chelsea High School as school lunchroom manager and was a volunteer with the Shelby Baptist Association.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank A. and Pearl A. Woodard and a brother, Billy J. Woodard.
She is survived by her husband, DeWitt Hill Jr.; children, Becky (Andy) Wallace, Mike (Cathy) Hill; brother, Robert A. (Jeanette) Woodard; sisters-in-law, Sarah Woodard and Mary Hodges; grandchildren, Jennifer Hill, Michael (Brandi) Hill, Jared Wallace and Justin Wallace and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
