The Evangel Christian School football team was set to play its fourth game of the season Friday night against Flint Hill Christian.

The Lightning (3-0) will have to wait until Sept. 25 as they host Kemper Academy of Mississippi to play a fourth game. A thunderstorm with heavy lightning moved into the area shortly before kickoff and both teams agreed to cancel the game Friday night.

Evangel has an open date Friday, Oct. 16, but the Flint Hill Flame do not have an open date on a Friday on the remainder of their schedule.

The schools are discussing their options, which include playing the game on a day other than Friday, or not rescheduling the game.
