Massage Envy in Greystone participated Sept. 15 in a nationwide event, Massage for the Cure, at its Lee Branch location. Massage Envy clinics across the country offered therapeutic massage sessions.

A portion of the cost for local services was given to Susan G. Komen for the Cure to support breast cancer research, cancer education, screening and treatment initiatives at the Birmingham affiliate.

Massage for the Cure has been so successful on our regional level they decided to launch the program nationally. Massage Envy exceeded this amount, raising over $800,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

“As a business owner I’m proud to benefit Susan B. Komen for the Cure, especially in a time of weak economy, when charities are being funded less,” Massage Envy owner at Lee Branch Mike Brooks said. “Helping feels really good. Every employee was excited and grateful to be a part of this initiative.”
