Charles Leamon Smith, 79, of Parrish, passed away Monday, Sept. 21 at Veterans Adminstration Hospital in Birmingham.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. Burial will immediately follow the service.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Smith; mother, Irene Smith; sister, Evelyn Hyche; and brothers, Bobby Smith, Buddy Smith and Herman Smith.
Survivors include his daughters, Kathy Lambert of Parrish and Linda Smith of Jasper; son, Kenneth Ricky Smith of Naylor, MO; sister, Mary Hanks of Chelsea; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Family requests that no flowers be sent.
