Ruey “Marie” Brown, 80, of Calera, passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009 in St. Vincent Medical Center East.
Mrs. Brown was born in Alabama Sept. 23, 1928, the daughter to Mr. Lemuel Oscar and Ludie Wise Jones.
Visitation was Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009 at Charter Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral Service held also at Charter Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Burial to follow at Shelby Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd M. Brown.
Survivors of Mrs. Brown include her sons, Ronnie Brown (Ann), Donnie Brown (Mollie) and Johnny Brown; grandsons, J.R. Brown (Amber), John Brown (Laurie), and Phillip Brown (Lauren Sliga); granddaughters, Jessica Brown, Sarah Simmons (Jamie), Hollie Brown, and Kym Brown (Josh Baker); great granddaughters, Ashlyn and Alyssa Brown; great grandson, Austin Simmons and great granddaughter, Emma Simmons.
Arrangements were under the direction of Charter Funeral Home.
