Hoover police are looking for a woman involved in a counterfeit check ring in several cities in Alabama and Georgia.

Police are asking anyone who knows the identity of the pictured woman to call Hoover Police Department Sgt. Paul Lefebvre at 444-7700 during business hours, or 444-7640 on nights and weekends.

Police believe the woman has been involved in passing checks using information stolen from a Hoover business. Checks containing the information have been passed in Tuscaloosa, Oxford, Birmingham and Atlanta.
