More than 120 Birmingham-Southern College students pledged sororities at the start of the 2009-10 academic year.

Listed by hometown and sorority, they are: Katy Beckett of Northern Shelby, Pi Beta Phi; Aisha Bonds of Northern Shelby, Zeta Tau Alpha; Laura Foster of Northern Shelby, Zeta Tau Alpha; Rachel Levinson of Chelsea, Pi Beta Phi and Joyanne West of Pelham, Alpha Omicron Pi.

The following men also pledged fraternities: Henley Carr of Riverchase, Sigma Alpha Epsilon; Bret Thompson of Northern Shelby, Sigma Alpha Epsilon; Zac Baldwin of Maylene, Sigma Nu and Coty Lovelady of Montevallo, Alpha Tau Omega.
