Allen Leon Green, 60, of Harpersville passed away Oct. 5, 2009 at his residence.
He was born and raised in Harpersville. Allen worked for Avondale Mills and South Central Steel.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel. Rev. Bob Shap officiated.
Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 9 from 1-2 p.m.
Survivors include his sons, Mark Green (Jamie) of Harpersville and Jonathan Green of Birmingham; daughter, Crystal Plata (Abel) of Harpersville; special friend, Debby Davis of Harpersville; brother, Johnny Spates of Childersburg; sister, Janet Flower (Ricky) of Coldwater; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shelby Cancer Center.
