Roger Gilmore

Graveside service for Roger Gilmore, age 55, of Alabaster, will be at 12:45 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, in Pinelawn Gardens. Officiating the service will be Chaplain Chip Cousins.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.
Mr. Gilmore passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009.
He was a retired Lieutenant of the Vestavia Hills Fire Department where he served for 33 years.
Roger was a friend to many and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed carpentry, playing his guitar, photography, model railroading, restoring his vintage car and camping.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Thelma Gilmore.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Gilmore; brothers, Ronnie (Jan), Richard (Pegi); nieces, Dara, Shelby Jacobs (Jeremy), Heather, Cindy, Claudia; parents-in-law, Clyde and Mary Aycock and a host of other family and friends.
