Forty-six students and recent graduates of Indian Springs School (ISS) have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP Exams. The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program provides students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school.

Rebecca W. Barr, a recent ISS graduate, and Michelle Luo, a senior, qualified for the National AP Scholar Award by earning an average grade of 4 or higher on a five-point scale on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams.

Ten ISS students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken. These students were: Robert Baxley, recent graduate; Richard Baxley, senior; Matthew Dix, recent graduate; Jack Feist, senior; Samuel Gregory, senior; Taylor Hogan, recent graduate; Yukang Jiang, recent graduate; Dongho Keum, senior; Shaun McDonald, recent graduate; and Julia McMinn, senior.

Eleven ISS students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average grade of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. These students were: Erin Abraham, senior; Elliott Bell, senior; Emily Bell, recent graduate; Laney Caldwell, senior; Johann Choo, recent graduate; Matthew Greve, recent graduate; Keith Marson, senior; Cathrin Schmitz-Drager, recent graduate; Casey Stewart, recent graduate; Svantje Titulski, senior; and John Willingham, senior.
