Funeral service for Verdia M. Turner, age 76, of Blountsville, will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Union United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Turner, who passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at local hospital, was born Dec. 24, 1932, in Birmingham.
She is survived by her husband Claude Turner; daughter, Donna (Ron) McGuffie; son, Rick (Donna) Turner; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Wayne (Betty) Wright, Jimmy (Mary) Wright and Dan (Mary Lou) Wright; sister, Lucille Adkins; and a host of other family and friends.
